OmniTranslate offers a range of translation models, each designed to meet different needs for speed, quality, and stylistic accuracy. Understanding the strengths of each model will help you achieve the best possible translation results.
Selecting Your Translation Model
You can easily switch between models at any time from the settings menu. Navigate to the Translation tab in your settings to see the list of available models and choose the one that best fits your project.
LiTERaTe Benchmark
To help you understand the performance of our models, we use the LiTERaTe (Literary Translation Evaluation and Rating Ensemble) benchmark. LiTERaTe is specifically designed for evaluating machine translation systems on literary text from Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
The scores represent each system's win rate against human translators (0-100). A score of 50 indicates parity with human translation quality, while higher scores suggest superior performance.

Which Model Should You Choose?
- For everyday translations where speed matters, choose Wu Flash.
- For free users or basic needs, Wu Mini is a solid foundation.
- When quality is needed or uncensored/NSFW handling is critical, use Wu Core.
- If you want the best possible quality and have Pro, pick Wu Max.
