Organizing Threads with Tags and Notes
Last updated: Aug 13, 2025
As your library of translations grows, keeping them organized is key. Tags and notes are powerful tools that help you categorize, search, and manage your threads efficiently. This guide will show you how to use them to keep your work tidy.
For instance, let's add tags and notes to the "The Cannon Fodder Turns His Sister into a Soaring Phoenix" thread we created in the Your First Translation guide.
Adding Tags and Notes
1. Navigate to the Thread
First, go to the thread "The Cannon Fodder Turns His Sister into a Soaring Phoenix."
2. Open the Edit Dialog
Click the "Edit" button to open a dialog where you can modify the thread's title, and add tags or notes. Both tags and notes are optional.
3. Add Tags
Type a tag in the input field and press Enter or a comma to add it. You can add up to 16 tags per thread.
NOTE
Omni remembers tags you've used before. When you start typing a new tag, it will suggest existing ones to help prevent typos and keep your tagging consistent.
4. Add Notes
You can add notes to a thread to remember important details. These notes are only visible to you.
5. View Thread Info
After saving the changes, you can click the expand button to see the updated information.
Finding Threads with Tag Filters
Once you've tagged your threads, you can easily filter your library to find exactly what you're looking for.
1. Open the Filter Menu
In your library, click the filter button to open the filtering options.
2. Apply Tag Filters
The filter dialog will appear, allowing you to select one or more tags to narrow down your threads. After applying the filter, only the threads with the selected tags will be displayed.
